"You missed the eye candy." she stated matter-of-factly as she sipped her tea. Casually sliding her phone over the table. "I took a picture for you because I’m such a good friend." She winked at Jaeko playfully as she put the tea cup down in exchange for a cranberry scone. "And don’t call me a pervert—" She raised her finger, a smirk lining her lips. "I made a terrible sacrifice for your poor soul. How would you have survive without your daily eye cleansing." She put the back of her hand on her forehead in an attempt at looking dramatic, "I almost got caught— maybe I did now that I think about it— one of them did wink at me— oh." She remained silent for a second before bursting out in laughter.
"Anyway, heard you guys are prepping for a comeback." In reality, Jaekyung hadn’t heard a thing. She’d actually found out about it six minutes ago when the article had hit the web. She just liked to act like she knew more than she did. "Fun, fun. I just hope my agency doesn’t push for a comeback soon— I’m so not ready." She gave the younger girl one of her trademark grins, as if the topic wasn’t a big deal. "Two of the members found themselves in the ER last year— that was not fun. Plus I haven’t finished writing."
Jaekyung raised her cup of tea to her lips once more as she re-positioned herself and crossed her legs. “I’m going to be waiting for a thank you on your album. You can be like, ‘This bitch that sends me hot pictures of guys.’” She paused for a moment, reconsidering. “Wait better not—”
Her eyebrow immediately raised at the mention of eye candy. Jaeko immediately snatched the phone that was offered to her off of the table and brought it close to her face so she could examine the said eye candy. Jeez, she was right. What would she do without a daily picture of hotness? She set the phone back down just as her friend put her hand to her forehead, causing a soft laugh to make an escape. “What are you, a lead actress in a drama?” She shook her head as she set the phone back down on the table, offering a little eyebrow wiggling in response to Jaekyung. “Oho, someone should have gotten his number. That would have been juicy.” A grin formed across her lips at the sound of laughter, having missed the sound of it. Jaekyung was special and had a laughter nobody could imitate. It was nice to hear it again.
“Somebody stalks social media.” She stuck her tongue out at the older girl for a second. “You guys should wait until we finish promoting until you come back. That way I don’t feel bad when we kick your guys’ butt getting the awards.” A half smile and a quick wink later, she was laughing. “I’m kidding. I just don’t want fans to pit us against each other. Having to play enemies isn’t fun. Besides, I can’t focus on how great you guys are if I have to focus on my own group. Its just not fair."
Another laugh and a shake of the head. "I don’t exactly think the company would let me write that, but I’ll make sure to mention you. Maybe list you off as ‘grandma with all the boy toys’. Yeah, that sounds like you. Or maybe I’ll play nice as list you as half twin. Gotta rep the Jae name, ya know.”
